24th SPACE: The livestock industry returns for its key event

Print
FranceSPACE 2010, to be held from 14 to 17 September at the Rennes Exhibition Centre, is once again taking place in a difficult context for the livestock industry, farmers and their suppliers. Despite it, the 24th SPACE is set to be a packed and varied show, with plenty on offer for visitors, including exhibits from all the major companies working in the livestock industry in France and internationally, and opportunities to take part in a number of different events.

Exhibitor registrations continue at a high level, though with a slight drop compared with this point in 2009, but higher than for the 2008 event: 1000 exhibitors and co-exhibitors have already registered, of which 217 are from outside France and 70 are new, plus some forty companies represented by direct exhibitors.

Registrations are particularly high in some sectors, particularly poultry (reflecting the high quality offer at SPACE), while new energy sources are experiencing a marked rise this year.

SPACE 2010 will see a number of exhibitors returning, including many foreign companies who did not attend last year or over the last few years.

The main benefit of a Show is undoubtedly the opportunity offered to exhibitors to present their entire range of products or services and to put forward new solutions. For visitors, the discovery of new products is an essential motivation for attending SPACE. This means that the highlighting and promotion of the new products and services on display at SPACE, through the INNOV’SPACE event, are an indispensable part of the Show.

The programme of high quality presentations and conferences is already very full and will be offering visitors a wide variety of themes certain to awaken their interest and promote discussion. A number of presentations will be describing experiences and successful developments in other countries (Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United States and also developing countries).

A number of organic farmers' associations will be giving presentations on the development of organic agriculture on the farm and organisation within the sector.
