As Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) reports Poland has expressed its interest in supply of hatching eggs, day-old chicks, ducklings, turkey chicks and goslings to the Russian Federation. In this connection, the parties agreed that Polish Veterinary Service should provide the lists of Polish poultry breeding farms and Russian importers interested in supply of their products, for examination of Rosselkhoznadzor officials. The parties also agreed to hold the working group next meeting on veterinary issue in Moscow at the end of May 2009.
Nevertheless, Russia has some concerns in a view of detection of violations in product supply from Poland. In particular, in some cases products were shipped from the enterprises not licensed by Russian party. Sometimes information put in identification tags didn’t correspond to data specified in veterinary certificates. The Polish party was entitled to hold the corresponding inspections and take measures for preventing such cases in future. Veterinary certificates on cattle, horse meat, raw meat exported from Poland to the Russian Federation are to be agreed in the nearest future as well.
The agreement on observance of Russian new technical regulations for milk and dairy products by Polish party was also achieved.
