The 2009 president of Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. (DPI), the 2,000 member trade association working for the peninsula's broiler chicken industry, is Charlie Carpenter, a more than 35-year veteran with Perdue Farms Inc.. Mr. Carpenter served as DPI's Vice President in 2008.
Serving as 2009 Vice President is Wicomico County, Maryland grower and former poultry company employee Blair Ranneberger. Mr. Ranneberger has been active on the DPI Grower Committee in recent years and he brings decades of experience to his new position.
DPI's members at the Annual Membership Meeting in November elected 46 men and women to serve on the Board of Directors for 2009.
