According to ZMP – Central Market and Price Report Office for Agricultural, Forestal and Nutritional Products -, in 2007, production of poultry meat worldwide increased by 3.3% to 88 million tonnes slaughter weight.China, Brazil and the US together totalled 53% of world market share, each improving on their positions as the world's largest producers of poultry meat. Production from the EU remained stable, compared to the previous year, at 13% of market share, and a small increase in volume to 11.28 million tonnes.
