Kemin Industries South Asia Pvt Ltd launched Grow with Kemin – a nutritional solutions package designed exclusively for layer farmers, during its participation at the India Poultry Expo held at Rajahmundry.
Grow with Kemin focusses on boosting profit margins through minimizing feed costs, maximizing feed efficiency and improving production. Grow with Kemin identifies the key challenges which have the highest impact on profitability during each phase of the life cycle of a layer bird and offers nutritional solutions to address the same.
“During the chick, grower and prelay phases, the Grow with Kemin package helps in reducing chick mortality, attaining standard body weight, achieving uniformity of flock and minimizing the number of pullet eggs produced. In latter phases, the program lays emphasis on increasing egg production with optimal feed density and less costs and minimizing egg breakages. A holistic package, Grow with Kemin also contains solutions which mitigate the ill-effects of stress and maintains safety and hygiene of layer feed”, explained Dr. Jayaraman Krishnarajan, Kemin technical head for poultry.
Managing feed costs being the focus of the hour, Kemin put special emphasis on NutriKEM™ L, Kemin’s molecular solution which helps in the maximum utilization of nutrients and helps in achieving peak production at the right time without delay. “NutriKEM L is a combination of endogenous and exogenous enzymes, studded with biosurfactants and protected with antioxidants, which helps in reducing energy density in the feed, while also improving hen-housed egg production throughout the laying cycle, “ said R Kannan, Kemin product manager.
The presentation of Grow with Kemin was accompanied by demonstration Kemin’s feed formulation service for layer farming. “Kemin has a dedicated technical team that supports farmers in feed formulations. While Kemin’s nutritional solutions help in improving flexibility in feed formulation, Kemin’s offers technical expertise in feed formulation on a regular basis, taking into consideration the price fluctuations of feed ingredients, so as to reduce the impact of rising feed costs on layer farm profitability”, explained Dr. Prabhakar.
The event, attended by layer farmers, consultants and other poultry industry participants from the coastal belt of Andhra, was an effective platform for Kemin to reach out to the rural markets in the region and share its technical knowledge with farmers to benefit the layer community.
