Fieravicola 2011 thinking big

Print

fieravicolaWhile the organizational apparatus of FierAvicola 2011 (Forlì, Italy, April 7–9, 2011) is fine-tuning the program and agreements are being made with the foreign delegations participating in the trade fair, the effects of Fiera di Forlì’s new strategic approach are being felt with the biennial exhibition dedicated to poultry and rabbit breeding.

Indeed, the number of exhibitors has increased for this 47th edition of the trade fair. Due to the high number of requests received by the organizers from Italian and foreign exhibitors, for the first time in many years all the trade fair pavilions will be put to use, for a total of 20,000 covered square meters. There has been an estimated 20 % increase in the number of exhibitors due to the synergies created Fiera di Forlì, aimed at making the trade fair more competitive.

Parallel to this trend, the number of exhibitors from certain marketable goods sectors has increased. These include sectors related to alternative energy and environmental protection, plant and equipment for poultry and rabbit raising, and services and infrastructure for breeding companies.

In the meantime as part of the trade fair, special conferences are being organized by the Fiera di Forlì on the most important current trends in the sector. There will be a conference on laying hens’ wellbeing, on the eve of the application of new pertinent European Union regulations. Alongside this, another conference will deal with the debate involving institutions and businesses on the topic of the environmental impact of poultry and rabbit breeding: from waste disposal to energy. This topic is of interest to entrepreneurs not only in terms of the necessary structures, but also because of management costs.
