Linco Food Systems, the family-owned producer of poultry production solutions, has hired former CEO of Scanvaegt International, Erik Steffensen, starting 1 September 2008. He will share executive responsibilities with CEO and shareholder Morten Lindholst. "The times are constantly changing. Therefore, it is important to make the right decisions that ensure the company's earnings and development and make Linco attractive to our customers and employees. Linco is a company experiencing rapid growth. We have increased our turnover by about 15% annually in recent years and we are truly expanding our presence in the competitive global marketplace. Therefore, the company needs a managerial board that can cover more areas than what a single person is capable of. In this regard, Erik Steffensen complements me perfectly," says Morten Lindholst, who is a qualified engineer, whereas Erik Steffensen has a financial background.
This step will form the strong managerial board that Linco will need to take it to the next level of expansion within the International Poultry Processing Technology Market. Morten Lindholst and Eric Steffensen supplement each other very well and Linco will benefit from the combination of their competencies and experience.
"I have participated in expanding a company from this stage of development before, so I hopefully possess some experience from which Linco can benefit. Meanwhile, Linco has great potential, which means it will be an exciting challenge to realise this potential. I am pleased to remain in the food processing industry, as this is the field in which I have worked for over 25 years," says Erik Steffensen.
The hiring of Erik Steffensen is one more step in a process that Linco Food Systems initiated last year, in which the controlling share in the company was sold to the German Baader Group, one of the most significant players in the global food processing industry. The aim is to position the company as a competitive and profitable number 2 in the field of poultry processing solutions.
"Linco has a huge unrealised potential, and with the addition of Erik's experience and competences, I am convinced that we will reach our goal", says Morten Lindholst.
