Since its introduction in the spring of 2005, Roxell’s oval pan feeding system for broilers has firmly entered all important broiler markets of the world.
According to Marketing Manager Frank Hartmann by the end of this year the HaiKoo-pan will represent over 70 % of company’s sales of broiler pans.
“Growers particularly like the fast start of the broiler chicks which is the immediate result of the 360° filling and the low pan height. But also the large feeding space in is having more and more impact”, commented Frank Hartmann.
HaiKoo offers a feeding space of 1140 mm per pan. Each pan serves up to 14% more birds than most round standard feeder pans. In practice this allows growers that upgrade from natural ventilation to tunnel ventilation with pad cooling to stock more birds without exceeding the prescribed density per square meter and without investing in extra feeder lines.
Roxell’s oval pan concept also attracts growers of broilers in cages. The interest comes especially from the Russian market where 50 percent of the broilers are still grown in this way. The HaiKoo-pan for broiler cages has an adapted support cone and a flat top support so that the system can be winched up to its optimal height.
This allows growers to fully enjoy all HaiKoo benefits: a fast start up, important feed savings, an optimized feeding space and a minimal maintenance.
